Sadat Naderi
Chairman
Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi is a British-Afghan professional with extensive, high-level experience as an entrepreneur and investor, as well as a former politician. Mr Nader is the founder and CEO of SMN Investments in Afghanistan, through which he has led a large portfolio of successful business ventures in the fields of education, real estate development, trading, retail, oil exploration, insurance and marketing. Mr Naderi has won numerous awards and recognitions for his pioneering work as an entrepreneur and is credited as the founder of the first modern supermarket chain (Finest) and the first private sector insurance firm (ICA) in Afghanistan. Mr Naderi has a Bachelor’s degree in economics and international trade from University of London. He current lives between the UK and Dubai but travels extensively promoting business opportunities in the GCC and Central Asia regions.
Andrew Theodorou
Senior Advisor
Andrew Theodorou has over 30 years of experience working in an entrepreneurial environment, holding key positions in medium to large scale business ventures and managing a varied portfolio of investments, including his own projects or in the capacity of an angel investor. Mr Theodorou has been involved in financing, building and operating successful businesses, serving in management and C level capacities. In his most recent role, he held the post of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Finance Officer of a secure and highly compliant data hosting company. Prior to that, Mr Theodorou held the post of UK Finance Director for an AIM-listed technology company where he was responsible for management of over £80m fund. Currently, he holds executive and non-executive directorships in a number of sectors to include consultancy, property development & management, insurance, distribution and technology. as well as has always held board and shareholder positions. Mr Theodorou holds a degree from Business School in London, majoring in Finance and Accounting, and possesses strong commercial acumen. His key strength in nurturing start-ups and new business – financing, operating and developing them up until they are sold to trade and private equity firms. He also possesses strong mentoring skills and provides support to C level and management personal in different industry sectors as well as in the community.
Tianyao Ma
Chief Technical Officer
Tianyao Ma is an engineering professional with a strong background in MEP design, construction management and project delivery for landmark commercial and mixed-use developments. Tianyao has successfully led cross-functional teams and delivered large-scale projects in a variety of industries including healthcare, commercial, residential, airport and educational sectors. Tianyao was responsible for the design coordination, technical review, and construction management for iconic Jewel and OCQ project. Tianyao has experience in value engineering and tender management, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. His passion for delivering outstanding results is evident in his work, and he is committed to staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the industry. Tianyao is also a PMP certified project manager and a Registered Electrical Engineer.
Bilal Popalzai
Chief Operating Officer
Bilal Popalzai is a professional administrator with extensive work experience in various administrative and operational fields. He has professional work experience in the field of human resources, administration, and management with national and international companies and organization in UAE, Afghanistan, and Canada. He has successfully led projects in a large scale. Mr. Popalzai holds a degree in Political Science, majoring in International Relations. He has also completed HRM and FM certification.
Rahul Sukumaran
Senior Engineer
Rahul is an engineer by profession and specializes in BIM. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Government Polytechnic College in India. Rahul has over 18 years of professional work experience in the UAE and worked on several iconic MEP projects, including the Zayed National Museum, Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal International Airport, and the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Oncology building. More recently, Rahul was part of the team that worked on the UAE Pavilion at EXPO 2020 based in Um Al Quwain Free Trade Zone.
